Traumatic Aortic Dissection with Surgical Repair

ID: exh59756b
This exhibit begins with one anterior skeletal view of the pelvis illustrating the multiple pelvic fractures. These injuries are based specifically on the actual post-accident x-rays. Also, the two main steps of the external fixation procedure are illustrated. These images include the insertion of the long-threaded fixation pins above the acetabulum on each side of the pelvis, as well as the assembly of the multiple clamps and connecting bars to form the external fixation apparatus.
