This stock medical exhibit depicts the post-accident condition of the right arm in a series of illustrations. The first illustration shows the external wound, including an open crush wound and laceration of the elbow region with a large area of exposed muscle, bone and nerve, as well as disruption of blood flow and nerve supply to the lower arm, hand and fingers. It also shows the severed brachial artery and transected median nerve. The second illustration shows soft tissue damages, including an avulsed and lacerated biceps muscle, severed brachial artery, transected median nerve and traumatized ulnar nerve. The third illustration shows the fractures, including comminuted and displaced fractures of the distal humerus.
