Right Knee Injuries and Arthroscopic Surgical Repairs - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit board includes a pre-operative condition and four steps of the subsequent surgery.\r\n\r\nThe pre-operative condition is a single large image of the right knee joint and illustrates the chondromalacia, the tear in the posterior section of the medial meniscus, and the thickened medial plica of the patient.\r\n\r\nThe first of the four steps shown is the insertion of the arthroscopic instruments into the knee. The second step includes an anterior and axial image to show the removal of the torn portion of the medial meniscus. The third step is of the resection of the affected medial plica. The last step is the removal of the instruments and suturing of the stab incisions left behind.
