Subsequent Breast Reconstruction Surgeries - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit board illustrates five different surgeries undertaken to correct the patient’s condition after the original mastectomy and implantation.\r\n\r\nThe first image illustrates the two implant removal surgeries. The second illustrates the insertion of tissue expanders. The third shows the removal of the tissue expanders and insertion of new implants. And the last surgery shown is the reconstruction of the areolar and nipple tissue using skin graft and flaps. There are also included two small images explaining the removal of fat from the thighs for the fat transfers and the skin grafts from the upper inner arm for the areolar reconstruction.
