This medical exhibit consists of six illustrations on a single exhibit. The first illustration is a sagittal view of the preoperative condition of the cervical spine. The herniated disc at C6-7 is clearly depicted. This illustration is based directly off of the radiology films. The second illustration depicts the initial incision being made in the neck. The third illustration shows the discectomy being performed. The fourth illustration portrays the debridement of the endplates with a high speed bur. The fifth illustration depicts the insertion of the cancellous allograft into the disc space. The sixth illustration shows the placement of the Atlantis plate along with a print of a postoperative x-ray.
